The Warlord cancelled...again.

In the "This sucks" department, I just found out that the latest incarnation of DC Comics The Warlord has been cancelled. I'm not sure why, most likely low sales. I guess if you don't have a fucking zombie on the cover of your favorite title it could be next.
My comic guy was telling me that Warlord was a steady seller too, not red hot, but decent. I guess decent just doesn't cut it in the comics biz.

  1. I loved Warlord when I was a kid-but I didn't even know they had relaunched.

  2. I completely missed out on it too.

  3. That sucks. I was waiting for the trade paperback editions (anthologies) to come out to read them. I'm long past running out of room for single issues.

Hopefully that won't keep TPB editions from being collected/published.

And I totally agree with your zombie observation. Ugh!

  4. Hello Evil DM,
I remember buying the debut issue of the relaunched Warlord series. I read the first few pages of it and thought, um, I have no idea what's going on in here. ;-) It was a bit strange for a sword-and-sorcery series. Still, there are going to relaunch the character again within the next 10 years, if only to retain the copyright.
